Review of Celtic Manor

Celtic Manor – Montgomerie Gosh this was course was hard work, as a beginner I found it difficult to negotiate the course, which in places was very tight. I would recommend a trolley or buggy as we were exhausted with the constant up and down of the course. A trolley would have made it much more relaxing as we quickly got tired and they affected my game on the back nine. A buggy would have been even better you would feel a lot more fresh.

Even though the Ryder Cup will be played in South Wales in 2010 making South Wales a golf magnet within the UK, in South Wales you're never far from a mountain or the sea. As well as golfers there is also an abdunsance of walkers, cyclists, surfers and sailors who come to South Wales. From the buzz of the capital city, Cardiff, to the beautiful coast line of the Gower and Pembrokeshire you will find wonderful clean beaches and some surprising marine life. The shores of Pembrokeshire include dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks, Atlantic grey seals and leatherback turtles.

Heading in-land from the sea the Brecon Beacons National Park leads to the steep-sided Valleys of South Wales, carved over centuries by the rivers Rhondda, Taff, Rhymney and Cynon. The beautiful Wye Valley & the Vale of Usk forms the border with Herefordshire & the Forest of Dean.

It's no wonder than this fascinating landscape overs so many great golfing challenges whether it is parkland or links golf you are after. Golf in South Wales has it all.
